Pre-schedule release, this will be a place to keep track of the days each act is playing. I'll keep track of what we find here in the first post! (Keep in mind, though, that many acts will list June 21st on their websites as a placeholder, even if they're playing other days. I'll list them here, regardless.)

That really is a pretty cool idea. So basically, you can at least pretty much narrow it down to the day that they would be available to play. Obviously, other than the headliners it would be tough to say what time they would be playing, but it's still really cool that you can figure out the day.

That's the goal! Also, using the schedule and billing order from last year, we would actually probably have a decent idea about when most of the major acts are playing. For instance, based on their billing order, we could surmise that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are playing second-to-last on the Firefly stage on Saturday with The Lumineers probably "headlining" the Backyard stage before the Firefly headliner.

The wild card are the late night sets, though, since we don't really know how they'd factor in, although I'd agree that they'll probably be electronic acts (Calvin Harris, Big Gigantic, Zedd, etc).

The speculation is half the fun!

Tom Petty just announced tour dates today- pencil him in for Friday or Saturday- Guessing most likely Friday
06/20 – Pittsburgh, PA @ Consol Energy Center
06/21-23 – Dover, DE @ Firefly Music Festival
06/23 – Saratoga Springs, NY @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center

rolling stone article today with Tom Petty lists his tour dates and they list Firefly as the 22nd

  Wow I don't see him as a middle of the festival headliner. I thought either a first night or the last night. Not sure anyone wants to keep the party raging after Petty. Bonnaroo hit it on the money by having him play on Sunday.

On a related/funny note, the schedule release is always a fun time. I think my favorite part is reading all of the comments from people who completely lose their shit when they find out that two of their favorite bands are playing at the same time, as if it's some huge conspiracy against them personally. Hahahaha! Oh, people and their delusions of persecution....

Omg this year will just be one more reason for them to complain! If two bands you want to see play at the same time either split the time or pick which one you like better!

So if Petty is on Saturday then I wonder if RHCP will close out the festival Sunday or start it Friday? I can actually see Vampire Weekend then Foster the People opening everything up on Friday if we are in fact not getting a third headliner then RHCP on Sunday.

  I would bet that RHCP are Friday and Tom on Saturday. Last year for Black Keys the crowd I thought was notably smaller then it was for Jack White and the Killers. I think the reason they didn't get a third "big" headliner is because the crowds shrink considerably Sunday night.

Just was looking at Dispatch tour dates and they are playing a Bluegrass festival in Colorado on Friday June 21st, their site says they are playing Firefly June 23rd so I think they should be switched to Sunday
